Thank you for your patience over the last couple of weeks, the announcement about outdoor contact sports being able to resume caught us by surprise, we had expected that training couldn’t resume until the end of April. Details of next weeks training will be posted on the website at the weekend. A few key points to note:
All training sessions must be booked in advance. No booking = no training!
Please do not attend training if you have any Covid19 symptoms, have been told to self isolate by NHS Test and Protect or have travelled outside of the UK in the last 10 days
Whilst we are operating under level 4 restrictions physical distancing will be required before, during, and after the session
As a result of the latest update from the Scottish Government (issued on 4th Jan 2021) all training sessions have been cancelled. An update will be emailed out to members when sessions resume. Please see below link for the latest guidance from Scottish Athletics.
Springburn Harriers are delighted to be part of scottishathletics Keep on Running campaign.
Keep on Running is a new national campaign to encourage people to connect with their local athletics club or jogscotland group. With large numbers of people taking up running during lockdown, scottishathletics is keen to help them tap into its network of enthusiastic, knowledgeable clubs, coaches, jogging groups and jog leaders.
Springburn Harriers are based in Bishopbriggs. Members of the club take part in a broad range of athletic activities and the club can cater to an array of skills, abilities and ages. We welcome everyone whether they are complete beginners, national level athletes or anything in-between. Great news! After a successful test session on Saturday morning we are delighted to announce that training sessions for senior members are returning. To comply with Track & Trace requirements booking is essential. Each week we will host a variety of small group sessions at different locations. This Thursday (17th) we have 4 options to pick from:
18:25 – Hill session at Lennox Crescent led by Paul 18:25 – Social run at “the ponds” off Angus Avenue (Kingsmeadow Estate) led by Fiona 19:30 – Hill session at Lennox Crescent led by Big Rab 19:30 – Social run at “the ponds” off Angus Avenue (Kingsmeadow Estate) led by Linda
